The Fairview Fire District (Poughkeepsie, NY) is seeking resumes for the position of full time Firefighter.  Candidates for the position must currently be serving as a civil service permanent appointment Firefighter in New York State. 

The Fairview Fire District encompasses approximately 4.58 square miles and is a single station combination career/volunteer department that provides fire and emergency medical services to portions of both the Town of Poughkeepsie and Town of Hyde Park.  In 2010, the department responded to approximately 1,716 incidents.  Additional information about the department can be found at www.fairviewfd.net and www.iaff2623.org .

Starting salary for the position based on the current collective bargaining agreement is $ 53,767.73
