Local 2623 Members to Participate in the 2011 Fishkill Polar Plunge
Posted On: Jan 20, 2011
This February 26 members of Local 2623 will be participating in The Special Olympics of New York Polar Plunge. This event is held every year to raise money for The Special Olympics of New York. Since its inception 13 years ago, more than 500 plungers have raised funds in support of the charity. When members take the plunge they will be helping the Special Olympics provide year-round training and athletic competition to more than 48,000 athletes of all ages. Children and adults with intellectual disabilities who participate in Special Olympics develop improved physical fitness and motor skills, greater self-confidence and a more positive self-image. This years plunge will be held at Sharpe Reservation, Camp Mariah in Fishkill, NY on Saturday February 26, 2011 at 12pm. If you would like to sponsor our team you can visit http://sony.kintera.org/fishkillplunge/local2623 and make a donation to this generous charity. Thank You in Advance and We Hope to See You There!!
