An accident on January 8, 2011 at the intersection of Violet Avenue (Rt. 9G) and West Dorsey Lane resulted in no injuries when 3 cars involved in a chain reaction collision.  The pick-up truck stopped for the traffic light in the southbound lane resulting in the 2 cars immediately following rear-ended each other. 

Fairview firefighters responded with 41-11 and 41-71 to the call at around 10:55 am and checked all occupants of the 3 vehicles and then tended to the fluids that were leaking out of those involved.  Traffic on Violet Avenue was stopped while Fire and Police operated. 

Firefighters were back in quarters by 11:30am and Violet Avenue reopened to traffic after the cars were removed by local auto recovery agencies.
