Firefighters work tirelessly everyday to ensure the safety of the public they serve. While economic times are tough, politicians and journalists alike are focusing their efforts on demoralizing public safety personnel, rather than using their positions to research real solutions to the issues we face. I hope this letter sheds some light on the issues we face as professional firefighters, and the sacrifices and hard work of firefighters everywhere.
