41-11 responds M/A to Hyde Park FD House Fire

At approximately 400 a.m. this morning 41-11 was dispatched mutual aid to the scene of a reported house fire with an occpuant still in the residence in the Hyde Park Fire District. The fire was reported to be on the porch extending into the residence and the caller was attempting to remove the elderly occupant at time of the call. Hyde Park FD along with Staatsburg FD and NDP EMS responded also and were assisted on scene by Hyde Park Police. Enroute to the scene all responding units were advised that the occupants were all out of the house and someone was attempting to extinguish the fire.
41-11 and crew arrived behind Hyde Park Engine 46-11 and were assigned to back up Hyde Park firefighters, assisting them with locating the seat of the fire and checking for extension while working to ventilate also. No extension of fire into the walls and minor structural damage was suffered in what luckily turned out to be a small.
41-11 was back in service within a half hour and returning to quarters.
